Melton wool earned its place in hard weather when the Royal Navy issued it for pea coats in the mid 1800s. It's a dense cloth that shrugs off the wind and stays warm when it's wet. Ours starts with post-consumer wool garments, shredded and rewoven into Melton 2.0™. It's dye-free, avoiding water waste and harmful chemicals, then finished with POW embroidery on the chest and snowflake patches on the sleeve and back. It's the shirt for the first lift on a cold morning, the walk back from the mountain and quality time once the day is done.
Made to order in Scotland
Every shirt is cut and sewn in Scotland, then numbered and signed by the tailor, so allow 4 to 5 weeks. That wait is deliberate: we make what's ordered rather than piling up stock that ends up filling warehouses and collecting dust. Designed to be worn for life, not seasons.
