The LANGMUIR eco MELTON Recycled Wool 2.0 Waistcoat
SPECIAL INTRODUCTORY PRICE
MADE TO ORDER WITH THREE WEEK LEAD TIME
Our LANGMUIR waistcoat is a really practical and timeless design that will become a loyal companion for many years to come. Crafted from regenerated post-consumer wool, it is soft yet tough and naturally insulating. This wool has already lived one life, the source garments are carefully collected before being sorted, processed and rewoven. Our eco-Melton™ wool also features a felt-like touch that's smoother than other wools and it's manufactured in a unique, dye-free process that conserves water and eliminates the need for harmful chemical dyes. At the end of life every single part of the shirt can be regenerated or recycled to live again. The LANGMUIR waistcoat is finished with two patch pockets and natural shell buttons that have spent their life absorbing carbon.
Each waistcoat is handmade at our workshop in Scotland and individually numbered and signed by the tailor.
Material:
-
500g regenerated* dye-free wool with 20% nylon. *Can be regenerated at end of useable life.
-
Breathable, windproof, water-repellant, eco-Melton™ wool is a densely woven yarn that starts out a little stiff and like a good pair of jeans softens with wear.
-
Wool creates heat when it is damp just like the famous Dachstein mitts from Austria.
-
Its natural properties make it a sustainable and eco-friendly option for those looking for clothing that offers both comfort and thermoregulation.
-
Wool is naturally fire retardant.
-
Buttons are made from natural Corozo shell buttons.
-
Made within a circular economy whereby everything in this shirt is recyclable and/or biodegradable at the end of it’s life.
Fit:
-
This is a casual fit that is designed to be worn over a shirt.
Care:
-
Your recycled eco-Melton wool shirt is easy to care for. Wool is naturally anti-microbial and does not smell. We recommend NOT washing your shirt but rather hanging it on a coat hanger and airing it outside. Stain removal can be done with a damp cloth. If you wish to wash it use cold water, mild soap and hang dry using a coat hanger and the cool iron. Do not tumble dry.
